INTRUSION DETECTION SYSTEM
The purpose of intrusion detection systems is not to physically prevent intrusion, but to provide a rapid and reliable indication of intrusion to the appropriate person or system, thus ensuring that no damage is caused and no unauthorised persons are able to enter the space. These systems are divided into two groups: outdoor and indoor systems, which serve different purposes.

Outdoor and indoor systems
- Outdoor system:
- Detects objects passing through the surveyed area or boundary line.
- May be able to detect or recognise objects in the field of view
- send signal to specified monitoring stations
Indoor system:
- Detects intrusion through a window or door (breaking, opening)
- Indicates to specified remote monitoring points
- In addition to motion detectors, it also signals indoor movement, providing extra security to the system
